Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will boast a co-op challenge mode with Kinect support for casting spells on Xbox 360, EA revealed during its Gamescom 2010 press conference.
The live Kinect demonstration saw James and Oliver Phelps--the twins who portray The Weasley Twins in the magical movie series--waving their arms forth to cast offensive spells or holding their hands out to conjure a defensive shield as they zapped enemy wizards in the challenge. Challenge performance is tracked and uploaded to Xbox Live for comparison, EA explained. Read more »

Mega-publisher Electronic Arts has issued a breakdown of the games it will display next week at E3 2010, offering new release dates and windows for a few titles in the process.
RISK: Factions, the downloadable Xbox 360-exclusive revamp of the classic board game, will arrive on June 23, 2010.
Meanwhile, EA SPORTS NBA JAM--a Wii exclusive--will hit in October alongside the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of the recently renamed NBA ELITE 11. Read more »

A grim trailer gives the first look at 'arry Potter's exploits in EA's movie tie-in game Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, which was announced yesterday.
A wizard's life isn't all potions and puffins, apparently, as young Master Potter will need to break out his over-the-shoulder shooter skills to defeat those dastardly Death Eaters. Read more »

Having already revealed plans to release a new Harry Potter video game this year, publisher Electronic Arts today announced two video games based upon Warner Bros' upcoming book-inspired two-part feature film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The first video game, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, will be released this fall alongside the first feature film on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and "mobile devices." The second will hit the same platforms, presumably alongside the second feature film due in mid-2011. Read more »
