The retro-style beat-em-up based on a comic, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, can be added to your digital Xbox 360 collection for 50% off, this week.
Major Nelson revealed that, from now until November 14, the Ubisoft-developed title has been reduced in price from 800MS Points ($10) to the retro Xbox Live Arcade price of 400MS ($5). The promotion is only available to Gold members. Read more »

In an effort to achieve maximum synergy, Ubisoft has announced plans to unleash DLC for its downloadable title Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, alongside the DVD and Blu-ray release of the movie in November.
The content will add a new playable character, Knives Chau, and two new modes, dodgeball and a free-for-all battle arena. Downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will launch on the PS3 and Xbox 360 for an asking price of $1.99 (160MS Points). Read more »

Forecasting & Analyzing Digital Entertainment (FADE) is reporting that Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade enjoyed its best month to date in August, built on the strength of the Summer of Arcade promotion.
According to the report, Microsoft brought in $17.5 million in August 2010 over $16.5 million in August 2009, which was the second year of the Summer of Arcade promotion. The report presents a top 10 list of games sold, ranked by revenue generated, and includes the total number of copies purchased. Note that some titles were not included in the Summer of Arcade promotion or were released before August. Read more »

Although PlayStation 3 fans will enjoy some exclusive time with Scott Pilgrim's video game debut, Xbox 360 owners won't have to wait long to brawl on the mean streets of Toronto, Canada.
IGN UK is reporting the upcoming four-player co-op beat-em-up is set to arrive on the XBLA on August 25, fiftteen days after Scott's August 10 PSN debut and one week following the XBLA Summer of Arcade. Read more »

Ubisoft's comic and movie-inspired video game Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a downloadable side-scrolling beat 'em up, Game Informer reveals, coming to the PlayStation 3 in August and then Xbox 360 sometime later.
Supporting up to four offline players, the game follows the events of the tongue-in-cheek comic and (presumably) the upcoming film, with Game Informer writing that "the levels follow along with the book volumes, as world three takes place inside the club where our heroes take on rival band The Clash at Demonhead just like in [book three]." While we still don't know what platforms Ubisoft's Scott Pilgrim game will hit or how it will play, creator Bryan Lee O'Malley has revealed one very important tidbit: it's due next summer.
"Can't tell you much about SP game yet," reads a tweet from O'Malley, who both writes and illustrates the titular comic. "Not out til next summer. Mustn't blow our wad early. When you hear who's involved, you'll freak!" Read more »

Alongside an Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) directed, Michael Cera (Arrested Development) starring film adaptation, Bryan Lee O'Malley's comic sensation Scott Pilgrim is also set to become a video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal (TMNT).
O'Malley expects the game to be a side-scrolling game that embraces the cartoony aesthetic of the comic instead of the film's real-life look, reports IGN. No platforms have been confirmed. The comic's fifth volume included pixel art mock-ups of a game on its back cover, though there's no word as to if the actual game will resemble them. Read more »
