THQ evaluating Linux following Humble Bundle feedback

The Humble THQ Bundle may have raked in more money than almost another other Humble Bundle, but not everyone was thrilled with Humble's first AAA bundle. It was Windows-only, lacking the customary Mac and Linux versions, and also busted the 'no DRM' rule with Steamworks games. Pleasingly, counting the money isn't the only action THQ is taking after that, as the publisher's now looking at making Linux editions of games.

Company of Heroes, Saints Row: The Third in latest Humble Bundle

In what seems to be an odd move, Humble Bundle has teamed with publisher THQ to offer seven PC games in its traditional pay-what-you-want packs. It marks the first time Humble has bundled games from a large publisher, while packaging Windows-only games and using the Steam DRM.

Titillating 'Penthouse Pack' hits Saints Row: The Third today

Sometimes when I'm bombing down Stillwater's main thoroughfare in a stolen car, looking for hapless victims to bludgeon with a huge purple sex toy, I often opine about how much classier the experience would be if I had a Penthouse Pet riding shotgun with me. Okay, not really. But should I ever change my mind, the 'Penthouse Pack'--released today for Saints Row: The Third--should fulfill that particular urge quite handily.

Saints Row: 'Enter the Dominatrix' expansion coming in fall

Among the cacophony of high-larious pranks this April Fool's Day, THQ teased another piece of content for Saints Row: The Third. Titled (ahem) "Enter the Dominatrix," the standalone expansion promised super powers, new weapons, and new recruits. Apparently THQ and Volition decided to make it happen for real, announcing it as a standalone expansion coming this fall.

Best of 2011 Honorable Mention: Saints Row The Third

Best of 2011 Honorable Mention: Saints Row The Third

After jumping out of (and into, and back out of) a moving plane, it's hard to believe Saints Row: The Third can keep its pace throughout the entire experience. Oh boy, does it. Volition's title, which in some instances can only be described as a fever dream, is over-the-top and fun. Saints Row: The Third isn't afraid to be nonsensical in its quest to be wholly entertaining. Sure, some of the gags fall flat, but it's crazy experience that goes beyond any other game in its genre (not the dildo bat genre, the open world one).
