Rock Band DLC: Dio, The Smiths, Morrissey and More

Harmonix has announed next week's batch of Rock Band downloadable content, revealing an assortment of tracks including several that'll feel instantly familiar to anyone who spent a portion of the seventies, eighties or nineties clad in black.

Rock Band DLC Goes Country Once Again on Aug. 31

Next week, Rock Band is going country for a fourth time, adding a slew of new tracks from country music artists. Downloadable content featuring Reba MacEntire, Keith Urban, Josh Turner and more artists (that I wouldn't know unless they were named in this press release) will be available for budding Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii musical superstars.

Due out on August 31, all tracks will cost $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) a pop while the complete track pack will be available for $14.99 (1,200 MS Points). Read more »

Rock Band DLC: Disturbed, Crash Kings, The Veer Union and We Are the Fallen

Yet another three-pack of tracks from moody metalmen Disturbed will arrive in next week's round of Rock Band downloadable content, accompanied by a selection of tracks from Universal's Motown Republic label in a pack of their own.

Due out on August 24, all tracks will cost $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) a pop while the three-track packs will run you $5.49 (440 MS Points) apiece. Read more »

Rock Band DLC: Juanes, Avenged Sevenfold

[Update: 9:41] Harmonix has now announced there'll also be three tracks from Avenged Sevenfold, costing $1.99 a pop or $5.49 (440 MS Points) together in a pack. Thanks, 'masem.'

Rock Band will pick up its first spanish-language tracks next week when six songs by "Latin music superstar" Juanes arrive as downloadable content, Harmonix has announced. Read more »

Rock Band DLC: Bad Religion, The Stooges

Harmonix is bringing some "old school punk" to Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and LEGO Rock Band with tracks from Bad Religion and The Stooges.

On the PS3 and Xbox 360, single tracks can be purchased individually for $1.99 or 160 MS Points. The Stooges tracks can be purchased in a bundle for $5.50 or 440 MS Points. All tracks must be purchased as singles on the Wii for $2.00 each.

Songs with the '+' next to them can also be downloaded in LEGO Rock Band. Read more »

Rock Band DLC: The Vines and Sweet Billy Pilgrim

Australian alt-rockers The Vines will be headlining next weeks batch of Rock Band downloadable content with a pack of five tracks, Harmonix has announced, supported by a solitary song from the wacky English band Sweet Billy Pilgrim.

Rock Band DLC: Creedence Clearwater Revival

Next week's batch of Rock Band downloadable content will be a monster twelve-pack of tracks from southern rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival, Harmonix has announced.

The tracks are headed to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on July 11, costing $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) a pop. PS3 and Xbox 360 rockers will also be able to buy the lot in the $19.99 (1600 Microsoft Points) Credence Clearwater Revival Pack 1. Read more »

Rock Band DLC: Nickelback Six-Pack

Facing the near-impossible task of finding an act that can follow Miley Cyrus for next week's batch of Rock Band downloadable tunes, Harmonix has turned to... Nickelback.

Six tracks from the radio-friendly Canadian rockers will be released as downloadable content next week, which is possibly equivalent to two or three unique songs.

Rock Band DLC Brings Spoon and P.O.D.

Rock Band DLC: Pantera's Great Southern Trendkill

Metalhead-favourite Pantera's 1996 album 'The Great Southern Trendkill' will be released as Rock Band downloadable content next week, Harmonix has announced, complete except for the cheery track 'Suicide Note Pt. I.'

The tracks will hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on May 25, costing $2 (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) each or available in a $16 (1280 MS Point) pack on PS3 and 360. Read more »

Rock Band DLC: Grateful Dead and The Smithereens

Stoner favourites the Grateful Dead will headline next week's Rock Band with a six-pack of hard-jamming tracks, Harmonix has announced, supported by The Smithereens.

Hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on May 18, tracks will cost $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points) a pop. The six Dead tracks will also be available in the mildly discounted Grateful Dead Track Pack on 360 and PS3, priced at $9.99 (800 MS Point). Read more »
