Apogee Software has launched its new online store with some classic titles, and a timely coupon code, to boot. The "Legacy Pack" includes Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Blake Stone: Planet Strike, and Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, Extreme Rise of the Triad, and the Duke Nukem: Critical Mass soundtrack. Rise of the Triad iPhone Port Released at $4.99, 'Extreme' Update Adding Free New Content

Officially announced just last week, the iPhone and iPod touch rendition of Apogee Software's classic first-person shooter Rise of the Triad is now available via iTunes.

At $4.99, the Mobilia-helmed port packs the original five playable characters and four game episodes, with word that a free "Extreme add-on pack" will soon add "deviously different tricks, traps and treachery not seen in the original Triad." Read more »

Rise of the Triad iPhone Port Announced

An iPhone and iPod touch port of Apogee's mid-nineties shooter Rise of the Triad will "soon be available," Apogee Software LTD off-shoot Apogee Software LLC confirmed today.

Super Methane Brothers developer Mobilia Interactive is behind the port, which promises "a number of customizable control schemes" in addition to "four full game episodes" and the expected five playable characters. Read more »

Rise of the Triad Now Cheap on Good Old Games

Last week, Good Old Games revealed that it would start selling old Apogee-published games, beginning with Duke Nukem 3D. Today, the online retailer added a second Apogee offering to its storefront--the classic PC shooter Rise of the Triad: Dark War.

Originally conceived as a follow-up to Wolfenstein 3D, the shooter puts players in the HUNT (High-risk United Nations Taskforce) squad, providing a convenient excuse to shoot people and blow things up. The DRM-free download will run you just $5.99. Read more »
