Green Lantern nemesis Solomon Grundy, born on a Monday, makes his videogame debut on a Tuesday in the following screenshots for SOE's MMO DC Universe Online.
The game is expected to launch on PC and PlayStation 3 by early 2010.

Sony Online Entertainment's super-spy MMO The Agency (PC, PS3) and super-powered MMO DC Universe Online (PC, PS3) will both see a 2010 launch, reports Joystiq.
The word comes straight from Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley, who dropped that little factoid during a Game Developers Conference 09 presentation titled "an industry perspective on how new online games will reach the masses."

Long-time comic book veteran Marv Wolfman has joined artist Jim Lee and writer Geoff Johns in aiding Sony Online Entertainment with its upcoming superhero MMO DC Universe Online.
Wolfman, who created the character of Blade and wrote the action-packed cross-over classic Crisis on Infinite Earths for DC, will be expanding upon the in-game storylines already created by 52 and Green Lantern writer Johns, according to Big Download. Read more »

Tucked away within Nintendo's recent financial documents was a tentative release schedule for the next year, revealing that the forthcoming Punch-Out!! Wii will hit North America and Europe within the first half of 2009.
The schedule also reaffirms that Wii Sports Resort will hit North America within the first half of the calendar year, with Treasure's shooter Sin & Punishment 2 still due this year. Read more »

Sony Online Entertainment's upcoming superhero MMO based on the DC comics franchise, DC Universe Online (PC, PS3), won't hit our hands until sometime around early 2010, according to the game's lead writer.

Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley has confirmed his company's commitment to console MMOs, stating that all future SOE MMO titles will see console releases.
"I would say that we would be one of the early adopters on [bringing MMOs to consoles], and we plan on becoming one of the dominant players in the MMO space on consoles," said Smedley to MTV. "We see that marketing coming; we think it's there now, so we want to get a good market share there." Read more »

Publisher Sony Online Entertainment has released a new making-of video for DC Universe Online (PC, PS3), offering insight into the comic-based MMO's ongoing development at SOE's Austin studio.
No release date has yet been announced, though SOE recently told Shacknews that it will be relying on player feedback to determine when the title is ready to debut.

Following up on the initial batch of postage stamp-sized media, developer Sony Online Entertainment has issued 17 full-sized screenshots from the DC Universe MMO.
Allowing players to fight alongside, but not control, major DC characters like Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern, DC Universe Online is slated to arrive on PC and PS3. Read more »
