Resident Evil 4 Tips & Tricks

  • Shoot the Legs

    If you shoot an enemy in the leg it will take them down to kill faster.

  • Speed Glitch

    Go to the inventory screen and select the Striker. Exit from the inventory and press the B button and then quickly press the minus button. Equip any weapon besides the Striker and leave the inventory screen. Now the glitch is activated and you can move twice as fast and shoot twice as fast but once you select the Striker, the glitch will be deactivated.

  • Killing the Giant

    To defeat the giant monster easily, just let him go to the rocks then run. Then hit him in his back.

  • Snake eggs

    If you see a snake after smashing boxes, kill it. You will get a chicken egg for health. REMEMBER: If you do not kill the snake it will bite you and take health away.

  • Valuable jewels

    When around the village stage, some trees will have bird nests. Shoot them down to get valuable jewels to sell to the merchant.

  • Avoid damage from traps

    To avoid getting hurt by traps such as explosives and bear traps, use your laser sight and shoot at the explosive or the middle of the trap.

  • Finding items

    To find items, smash all of the crates with either your knife or a gun.

  • Extra ammunition

    Wait until you are low on ammunition before upgrading a gun. The replacement gun will always have a full clip, giving you extra bullets that otherwise may be difficult to find.

  • Handcannon

    Get a five star rank with all mercenaries to unlock the Handcannon weapon. To get unlimited ammunition for it, fully upgrade all of the Handcannon's options.

  • Annony Ashley

    When Ashley is on a cliff or still up a ladder, you can aim your gun up at her. She will grab her skirt and call you a pervert.

  • Mercenaries mini-game

    The main monsters to look out for are the two chainsaw ladies on stage 1. Once you kill them, they keep coming back. On stage 2 and 3 be careful of the guys with the chain guns. On stage 4, there is a super chainsaw man. He is bigger than the normal one and has a twin bladed saw. He is almost impossible to stop. He does not climb ladders. He jumps to where he needs to be. He will run at you, swinging the saw. Do not run past him. Turn and jump down if you can, or climb something quickly. If you really want to get past him, try using Jack Krauser's transformation, and aim right at him. If you miss, you are dead.

  • Super panty stare

    After you get ashley when you are on the mission where you have to go on the ski jump go into the cave nearby and kill all the monsters there, afterwards go on the ladder and the jump down (but do not choose to catch ashley) instead use a rifle (preferably a semi auto rifle) and take a couple of steps back, then use the scope to look under ashleys skirt you will see her panties and she wont grab her skirt or call you a perv.

  • Skip first encounter with the chainsaw man

    When you enter the town, kill everyone. When the second wave of people arrives, also kill all of them. You can then go into the house and they will not come out.

  • How to beat the chainsaw man

    When you meet the man with the chainsaw, shoot him with the shotgun and incendiary grenades. You can also just use your handgun, but you will probably get killed. REMEMBER: The shotgun is found in the building that is diagonal from the tower.

  • How to beat Saddler

    Look at his legs. If you see an eyeball, shoot it until ypu can see the eyeball in his mouth. Get near it and press Action. Do this about three times, then go across the bridge and get the rocket launcher. Shoot it at him. Then, go down, get the girl, and ride the jet ski.

  • Chicago Typewriter.. or Infinite Rocket Lancher

    The Chicago Typewriter is the better choice because it has infinite ammo like the RL but it fires way faster and if they are close to you the CT will not kill you with the blast radius like the IRL

  • Get the Shotgun

    When you start the game and you go to the village, make a run for it and go into the small building. Push the desk so they wont come in and go upstairs and you will see a painting of a shotgun. Take the gun and it's yours.
