While Garnett is away in Seattle on business, the two Jeffs (Cannata and Mattas) are joined by Insomniac's James Stevenson and Shacknews Daily contributor and video guru Ryan Calavano to talk about this week's gaming news, as well as some stuff they've been playing during the summer wait for mainstream releases. Insomniac's recently-launched Facebook game Outernauts gets some love, and the new Ratchet and Clank HD collection and upcoming downloadable installment, Full Frontal Assault get some hype. Mobile iOS goodness, including Dynamite Jack and Great Big War Game, get some of the spotlight as well, before the crew brings it home with another batch of Finishing Moves.

As expected, the Ratchet & Clank series is getting an HD re-release on PS3. The Ratchet & Clank Collection will include the original PS2 game, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal. Unlike most other remasters, this one will actually include the online multiplayer mode initially offered in Up Your Arsenal--something that makes Insomniac's James Stevenson quite happy because "not enough people played it the first time."

With Sly and Jak having already received HD re-releases on PS3, what's the next Sony franchise to get a high-definition makeover? Ratchet & Clank, it seems--at least according to a leaked listing on Amazon France.
Numerous outlets have spotted the listing (now taken down), noting a May 16th release for the compilation.
