Quantum Theory Demo Coming to Xbox Live 'Later This Month'

Tecmo Koei says Xbox 360 users will have to wait a little longer before visiting the world of Quantum Theory. Today the publisher revealed [via press release] a demo for its upcoming shooter will arrive on Xbox Live "later this month," but would not specify an exact date.

A demo for the game is currently available for the PlayStation 3. In the demo, players control a "hardened warrior" named Syd who has teamed up with the "mysterious" Filena to battle a black material that "infects anything it comes into contact with." Read more »

Quantum Theory Set for Summer Release

Tecmo Koei delayed its third-person shooter Quantum Theory back in February. The game was originally due to be released in March on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

VG247 has confirmed with Tecmo Koei that the game will be released this summer. Early reports liken the game to Epic's Gears of War, as Quantum Theory appears to borrow heavily from the cover-based, third-person shooter.

Tecmo Koei Delays Two Citing Quality Concerns

Tecmo Koei has delayed two of its titles--Quantum Theory and Trinity--due to quality concerns and revised their release windows to TBA, reports andriasang.

Described by the company as its "first attempt at the third-person shooter genre," Quantum Theory was originally slated to debut on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2010, with Kotaku confirming that the delay applies to North America. Read more »

Quantum Theory Media Blast: Gears of Tecmo

As Tecmo prepares to unleash Quantum Theory on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the publisher-developer has issued forth some new media from the project it freely admits as being "the company's first attempt at the third-person shooter genre."

Quantum Theory Coming to Xbox 360 Too

Formerly a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Tecmo Koei's Quantum Theory--billed as "the company's first attempt at the third-person shooter genre"--is now also due on Xbox 360 when it hits North America next spring, the Japanese publisher said today.

The post-apocalyptic action game sees the "massive, gun-wielding warrior Syd" pair with the mysterious and computer-controlled Filena to take down a massive living tower, with the two sometimes needing to "perform actions as a pair...to overcome hurdles." Read more »
