Prototype Tips & Tricks

  • Reurbo

    As the game progresses, various Events will unlock to be played at your choice. A certain Event to look for is a KILL Event called "Rolling Thunder" (I just finished mission 22 but the Event may have been unlocked before then). It will be located between East Village and Lower East Side one block from the East coast. Right next to the Event is a Thermobaric Tank. Jumping into it will activate the Event, but simply hit the "B" button to back out of it. Now you have the best vehicle in the game.

  • How to pass the 15th day mission.

    When they ask you to protect the convoy, get on top of the silver car. You're supposed to protect in disguise. Just ride it the whole way through the checkpoints.

  • Super Fast climbing

    When sprinting on the wall tap the jump button and the dash button repeatedly

  • Keep Your Upgrades

    When you finish the game you can start a new game and keep all of your upgrades from the previous game.

  • Upgrade Movements First

    If you upgrade the movements first you will be faster and you will evade the police quite easily.

    When you are playing the game you will want to build up your skills in how to play and maneuver properly. There are are about 5 bosses you're going to have to fight and the end boss is called Mother. She has 14 symptoms of the virus in the game and she is the biggest infected that you have to defeat. She's about 50 feet tall and can destroy anything. Another very hard boss is the specialist, he is one of black watch but is the leader and is almost impossible to defeat. Finally, the super soldiers are about as strong as Alex but they can't morph or shape-shift.

  • Use Helicopter for EXP exploit

    Mission 22/31 will require you to steal a Black Ops helicopter to destroy a Hive. There is no time limit and the alert meter will not increase until the Hive is destroyed. Use this time to gain as much EXP as possible without penalty.

  • More Visible Collectibles

    Use Infected Vision (or Thermal Vision) to find hard-to-see Landmark and Hint Collectibles

  • Helicopter Target Switching

    When you first start flying the helicopter and you practice target switching, the game tells you to hold TAB and "FLICK your MOUSE" to target the next object quickly. The only way to seemingly make this work is to physically flick your mouse as though playing finger football. That's right. Hold your finger with your thumb and hit your mouse.
