When Professor Layton first made his way Stateside in 2008, the concept was a fresh take on puzzle-solving. Combined with its whimsical art style and quirky humor, Professor Layton and the Curious Village became a mainstay of my Nintendo DS game rotation on business trips and during bouts of console gaming fatigue.

Professor Layton has solved the growing mystery of video game development delays, bringing his latest adventure to market a week earlier than expected.Originally scheduled to arrive on September 20, Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is now expected to hit stores on September 12, according to Nintendo.

Celebrated puzzle-solver Professor Layton will travel to a trouble future London when Level-5's Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is released in North America for Nintendo DS on September 20, Nintendo revealed at E3.
Released in Japan as 'Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel,' The Unwound Future promises "more than 165 new puzzles," with "fun, brain-teasing logic puzzles and riddles, and even new types of puzzles." It also boasts "significantly more hand-drawn animated sequences and voice acting than the previous instalment of the series." Read more »
