Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Free DLC Announced

The first Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 downloadable content will be released for free on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStaiton 3 on October 12, publisher Konami announced today.

The DLC "will bring the player roster files completely up to date, while clubs that qualified for the UEFA Champions League Group Round, will be added to the game's dedicated mode," Konami says, plus "A number of team kits have also been updated in line with their current use, and four more licensed boots have been incorporated." FIFA Soccer 11, PES 2011 Demos Arrive

For footy fans on the fence about which football--"soccer," if you're wrong--franchise deserves their dosh, demos have arrived simultaneously for rival foot 'em ups FIFA Soccer 11 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, including PC editions for both.

The PC edition of the FIFA 11 demo can be downloaded from FileShack, while the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace house their respective demos. Xbox Live Silver members, though, will need to wait until September 23. The demo offers a 3-minute exhibition match between a choice of clubs in Real Madrid's home stadium. Read more »

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Screenshots Go In-Game

The "first in-game assets" of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 have arrived from Konami, providing a peek at "the most radical revamp in [Pro Evolution Soccer] history."

Among the "advanced set of improved gameplay additions" made to this year's iteration--due on PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PSP--is a new power bar that lets players "determine the exact strength and placement of every pass and shot," said to let balls "be spread absolutely anywhere with surgical precision."

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Announced, Due This Fall

Konami's football--soccer, if, like Konami, you're wrong--series Pro Evolution Soccer will continue this fall with PES 2011, the developer and publisher announced today.

Konami promises that PES 2011 will see the "series undergo the most radical revamp in its history," with "the most advanced raft of gameplay additions, control options, and animations to meet the evolution of real-life football" and a new kick power bar "that allows the user to determine the exact strength and placement of every pass and shot."
