Today's Daily Filter brings another short list of video content from our enormous game database. Today we have a pair of trailers for Mafia 2 alongside a character vignette trailer focusing on the psychopath Lynch, of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days fame. We've also added three videos outlining the set list in Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, the DJ Hero 2 multiplayer in action, another episode of RedLynx TV's look at its downloadable darling Trials HD and a new trailer for Legendary Champions. A torrent of media has arrived for Seven45's rhythm game Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, in the form of screenshots, gameplay footage, video tutorials and a good look at its instruments, including the controller which doubles as an actual electric guitar.
Seven45 also announced exclusive agreements with musicians Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock for Power Gig. While the artists' tracks have yet to be fully revealed, the following gameplay trailer shows Clapton's iconic "Layla" is in the game. Read more »

Promising "the true evolution of the band videogame experience," developer Seven45 today announced its first project in the form of "Power Gig: Rise of the Six String."
Due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the fall, the game uses a specialized six-string controller across its two main modes. The first mode is said to be "traditional beat-matching" like other rhythm games, while the other uses actual chords and requires "specific finger placement on the strings." Read more »
