Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver Pre-Orders Get Bonus Figurines

What's that? The Pokewalker pedometer bundled with every copy of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver isn't enough? You want more?

Lucky for you, Nintendo just announced that those who pre-order either version from "participating retailers nationwide" will receive a figurine "while supplies last."

Pokemon HeartGold pre-orders will get a figure of the rainbow-winged "Legendary Pokemon" Ho-Oh (above, left) while SoulSilver pre-orders net Lugia (above, right). Read more »

Pokemon Walking Comes to North America with HeartGold and SoulSilver's Pokewalker

As in Japan, the two latest Pokemon entries on Nintendo DS--HeartGold and SoulSilver--will come bundled with a pedometer accessory when they hit North America on March 14.

The Pokewalker, as it's called, provides players with another way to catch 'em all. By walking with (or shaking) the accessory, players earn Watts--used to catch Pokemon, search for items, and unlock "virtual routes"--plus experience points for the pocket monster they've transferred to the device. Nintendo Lists Early 2010 Wii and DS Releases, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver Dated

As 2009 draws to a close, Nintendo is urging us to look ahead, as it today issued a list specifying some, but not all, of the games scheduled to hit Wii and Nintendo DS in North American between January 1 and March 31, 2010.

On the Nintendo-published side of things, Endless Ocean: Blue World (January 22) is currently the company's only retail Wii release for the quarter, with Nintendo DS getting Glory of Heracles (January 18), Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver (March 14), then WarioWare: D.I.Y. and America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking on March 28. The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom Announced

Long-running city-building strategy series The Settlers will continue in spring 2010 with The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom on PC, Ubisoft announced today.

Coming from series creator and Dawn of Discovery developer Blue Byte, Settlers 7 features the usual fine-tuning of settlements to optimise transport and production, and three paths to triumph--military, science and trade--with a new victory points system. Read more »
