The PixelJunk games are among the most critically-acclaimed titles available on the PlayStation Network. Spanning a variety of art styles and gameplay genres, the franchise has managed to garner quite the fan base over five years.
To celebrate, developer Q-Games is having an "anniversary sale" on the PlayStation Network starting tomorrow. For a limited time, many of the games will be available for only $1.

PixelJunk Monsters, Q Games' excellent version of tower defense, will be ported to the PSP sometime in 2009, according to a recent Spike TV segment.
Q Games founder Dylan Cuthbert says that the handheld version will include content or features beyond those found in the original PlayStation Network title. Read more »

The previously announced expansion for Q-Games PixelJunk Monsters will hit the PlayStation Store tomorrow at a $5.99 price point, Sony Computer Entertainment America revealed on the PlayStation Blog.
The expansion, entitled PixelJunk Monsters Encore, includes a new island, 15 new levels, five new music tracks and item cost and availability revisions. Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert said that the expansion was created to end his wife's ceaseless nagging for more content. Read more »

Motivated by his wife's incessant nagging, Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert announced an expansion for his company's downloadable tower defense title PixelJunk Monsters (PS3) on the PlayStation Blog.
The expansion, entitled PixelJunk Monsters Encore, includes a new island, 15 new levels, five new music tracks and item cost and availability revisions. The expansion will be released sometime in May. Read more »
