Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball Confirmed for XBLA

Blazing Lizard Unveils Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball

The freshly formed development studio Blazing Lizard announced its first project today: the downloadable console title Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball. The game will appear on unannounced console download services in the first quarter of 2008. The game pits players as pirates, ninjas, or other played out personas in eight-player online, 4-player online co-op, or 4-player offline modes. The title will make use of Infyrno, Blazing Lizard's proprietary engine, and apparently be the first of several Pirates vs. Ninjas titles. The company released several screenshots from the title and some concept art along with the announcement. Blazing Lizard was founded by former Volition employees, known most recently for their work on Saints Row (X360).
