Overkill Software promised it was working on a Left 4 Dead thing. Well, here it is.
The developer has released a new video, showcasing Payday: The Heist - No Mercy. There's no word on what it is exactly, but it appears to be a DLC expansion of SOE's online shooter.

Developer Starbreeze Studios is now working on three different games internally, but none of those projects are the sequel to its most recent offering, Syndicate. On top of those three titles, Overkill Software--which will be acquired by Starbreeze--is continuing to work on improvements to Payday: The Heist, in addition to developing a sequel to the robbery-based multiplayer.

Just as we're in the midst of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade, Sony is answering with its own multi-game promotion starting later this month. PSN Play will feature a new PlayStation Network release every week for four weeks, and offers a free game as a bonus for collecting all of them.
PlayStation Plus members will get 20% off each of the games, making collecting them all a little easier to swallow for thrifty consumers. Plus, the promotion offers free backgrounds as pre-order incentives, as well as various bonuses for buying during the Play period.

Sony Online Entertainment announced Payday: The Heist today, a squad-based first-person downloadable shooter coming to PC and PlayStation 3 this year. You'll have six heists to pull off, with genre mainstays like blasting a vault, managing hostages, taking an armored car, and infiltrating a high-security facility.
The announcement promises dynamic environments and adaptive tactics to keep the game fresh as you pull off your various heists. It isn't rated yet, but developer Overkill Software is expecting an M for Mature. Read more »
