Two titles absent from Larry 'Major Nelson' Hyrb of Xbox Live's recent Xbox Live Marketplace schedule update have popped up on Xbox Live Arcade today, which is always a pleasant surprise. Trouble Witches Neo and Nin2-Jump both arrived alongside today's better-publicised launch of Outland.

[Update: 2011-04-24 13:19] Apparently, IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover has been delayed yet again, supposedly to May 24. Assuming it doesn't get delayed again.

[Original] Next week is a quiet one for new releases, mostly bringing downloadable games. We still get a few noteworthy titles, though, including Ikaruga-ish platformer Outland, action-RPG Darkspore, and the long-overdue North American release of flight sim IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover. Though the post didn't provide a specific date, an official tweet from Housemarque confirmed that it will hit Xbox Live Arcade "around the same time." Read more »

PlayStation Store Update Brings Worms 2: Armageddon, Space Invaders, Sales

This week's PlayStation Store update has a nice amount of content loaded in it including Worms 2: Armageddon ($14.99) and Space Invaders Infinity Gene ($9.99). Additionally, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night ($4.99) and Castlevania Chronicles ($2.99) are on sale as part of the PlayStation 15th Anniversary PSone Classics sale.

Your PS3 demos are NBA 2K11, FIFA Soccer 11, Worms 2: Armageddon, and Space Invaders Infinity Gene, which join Move-required demos for EyePet and Racquet Sports. Read more »

Outland Revealed, to Appear at PAX 2010

Not long ago, Ubisoft revealed that a new game called Outland would be appearing at this weeks' Penny Arcade Expo, though provided few other details.

With PAX 2010 beginning tomorrow, IGN has previewed the Housemarque-developed offering, described as "a cross between retro platformers like Prince of Persia or Out of This World and the color-switching of shoot 'em up Ikaruga." Housemarque is also the studio behind PSN's Super Stardust HD and the upcoming twin-stick zombie shooter, Dead Nation. Read more »

Square Enix Bringing Evolved Space Invaders, Deadly Cups to Consoles

Developer and publisher Square Enix has announced a pair of downloadable console titles due out this year, Space Invaders Infinity Gene and Necromachina.

Based upon the iPhone game of the same name, Space Invaders Infinity Gene starts as classic arcade shooter we all know and love before evolving the into a singing, dancing 3D shooter. Necromachina, meanwhile, teases deadly animate cups. Chilling. Read more »
