Order of War Standalone Expansion Announced, Original Owners Get It Free

Having released Order of War (PC) alongside publisher Square Enix back in September 2009, developer Wargaming.net has announced a multiplayer expansion dubbed "Challenge" that will be provided as a free download to Order of War owners.

The standalone download will be distributed exclusively through Steam, adding 12 new maps, 6 new multiplayer modes 6 four co-op missions to the strategy series. Read more »

Square Makes WWII RTS Debut September 22

Publisher Square Enix, best known for the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series, has dated its first World War II real-time strategy game for September 22 in North America.

Developed externally by Massive Assault veteran Wargaming.net, Order of War (PC) packs two single-player campaigns set in 1944, pitting American forces against their German counterparts in France and facing German forces against Soviets in Poland. Square Enix Issues Order of War

Square Enix continues its foray into publishing Western games with the announcement that it will publish Order of War, a new World War 2 real-time strategy game for PC.

Players will take command of up to 1,000 troops, tanks, artillery and aircraft in vast battles based upon key historic events and operations from 1944 on both fronts--as Americans versus Germans on the West, and Germans against Russians on the East. Read more »
