Steam has announced a new promotion, offering a new deal on a game every day. Aptly dubbed "Daily Deals", the promotion begins today with 75% off the Codemasters-developed shooter Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
According to the announcement release, Steam will offer "a new 24-hour deal, every single day." Each promotion will run from 10am (Pacific) to 10am (Pacific) the next morning. Read more »

The next few weeks of Xbox Live Marketplace content have been detailed by Microsoft's Larry Hryb, including some anticipated XBLA games and discounts on 2K titles.
The twin-stick shooter Gatling Gears will be up tomorrow for $15 (1200 MSP), and Sega Rally Online Arcade will go up next week for a cool $10 (800 MSP). Hryb also tweeted separately that Star Raiders will be up this week as well. Read more »

A new Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising patch has parachuted onto PC to deploy scores of fixes and free DLC, available in a 245MB download over on FileShack.
The patch for Codemasters' shooter bundles the 'Overwatch' downloadable content pack free of charge--which cost $5 when it hit Xbox 360 in December--to add two new multiplayer games, a pair of multiplayer modes and two Fireteam Engagements. Read more »

The second downloadable add-on for Codemasters' tactical shooter Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is now available on Xbox 360, with PC and PlayStation 3 versions coming "soon," according to the company.
"Overwatch," as the download is called, brings two "game-changing" multiplayer modes: Supremacy and Blindside. In Blindside, "the PLA must complete objectives in the shortest time possible while the USMC defends," while Supremacy sees players trying to "occupy strategically vital positions." Read more »

The first mission of Codemasters' tactical shooter Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising can now be sampled and assessed on PC with a 1.39GB demo from FileShack.
Charging players with entering enemy territory to pave the way for a larger force by disabling a radar station and missile sites, the mission 'Dragon Rising' can be played in either singleplayer or co-op. The first patch for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has arrived on PC with free downloadable content in tow, now available in a 243MB download on FileShack.
The included 'Skirmish' DLC adds four new multiplayer maps and two Fire Team Engagement missions, and is slated to hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $5 (400 Microsoft Points) and $4 respectively following the release of a separate title update. Read more »

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising developer Codemasters has announced a downloadable content pack titled 'Skirmish' will hit its tactical battlefield shooter soon.
Bringing two new Fire Team Engagement missions plus four new multiplayer maps, the Skirmish pack will come to the PC edition tomorrow bundled with a patch for free.
Skirmish will hit consoles following a title update, due tomorrow on Xbox 360 and "shortly" for PlayStation 3. Skirmish will cost $4 on PS3 but 400 MS Points ($5) on 360. Read more »

Codemasters is plunking away on a patch to Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and are planning a simultaneous spoonful of DLC sugar to help the medicine go down.
"Our intention is to align [the patch] with the first DLC pack that's coming out as well, which is due around the end of October," said Codemasters producer Sion Lenton to Eurogamer. "Hopefully we'll do the whole thing in one." Read more »
