While politicians fret about the ramifications of peak oil, video games are here to show us that it could actually be pretty fun. Engine creator and developer Unigine has released splendid twelve minutes of straight gameplay footage Oil Rush, showing an entire mission from its tower defense-RTS hybrid.
Judging by the trailer, the strategy side of Oil Rush is a little like Eufloria at sea.

Video game engine creator Unigine Corp. has announced a foray into game development with OilRush, a naval hyrid of real-time strategy and tower defense genres.
OilRush is set in a post-apocalyptic flooded world where oil is scarce and precious, meaning that naturally you'll roll out well-oiled mechanical armed forces to seize it all for yourself. Unigine explains players will "control construction and upgrading of production platforms as well as their defence forces, and send battle groups of naval and air units to capture enemy's platforms and oil rigs."
