The Mount & Blade gang at Taleworlds are elevating another mod, this time turning fan-made mod Mount & Musket: Battalion into the paid expansion 'Napoleonic Wars' for M&B Warband. The multiplayer-only DLC drags the warfare sim into the real world during Napoleon's conquest of Europe, with over 220 unique units including engineers, artillery and musicians.

Mount & Blade: Warband developer Taleworlds has released a patch version 1.110 for the PC medieval warfare RPG, a 35MB download available from FileShack along with the updated full client--which doubles up as a demo--and dedicated server.

Taleworlds' PC medieval warfare RPG Mount & Blade: Warband is released today so, in celebration, the developer has unleashed a launch trailer and a 532MB unlockable demo you can find over on FileShack, which can unlock into the full game client.
Characters in the trial mode limit are limited to level seven, putting a serious crimp on their rampaging and ruling. Warband was originally intended to be an expansion revamping Mount & Blade and introducing multiplayer but become a sequel. A new Mount & Blade: Warband trailer showcases singleplayer in the medieval warfare RPG, from facial hair customisation and formal dances to death and decapitation.

Multiplayer medieval warfare in Mount & Blade's expansion pack 'Warband' is the focus of a new video interview with developer Taleworlds' lead designer Armagan Yavuz.
Multiplayer with up to sixty-four players is perhaps most exciting of Warband's additions, which will offer modes including deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, the team-based 'Battle' and castle-bashing 'Siege,' complete with mod support. Read more »

Mount & Blade's multiplayer-adding expansion 'Warband' has been delayed from late this year until March 19, 2010, publisher Paradox Interactive confirmed to Shacknews.
"March 19 is the date we are aiming for," Paradox executive vice president of publishing Susana Meza Graham told us. No explanation of the delay was provided.

Medieval multiplayer mayhem is the order of the day in a new trailer for indie developer TaleWorlds' Warband expansion to its PC warfare action RPG Mount & Blade.
Arriving later in the year, Warband will add 64-player multiplayer with several modes, along with updated graphics, a new faction, and improvements to diplomacy and AI.
