Among other things, the update expands support for a number of PS3 steering wheels and minor tweaks to online play like the addition of 'clan tags.' Most notable though, are the added abilities to customize game modes and share custom vehicle designs.

Owners of MotorStorm Apocalypse will be greeted with a new title update today. Whereas other patches add bug fixes, the so-called "After Party" pack adds brand new content into the game.
Included in today's update is a new track: "The Rock," an abandoned prison island that only features coincidental similarities to the Sean Connery vehicle. "Multiple routes have been carved into the island’s varied terrain, so expect off-road racing action reminiscent of the legendary island in the Pacific Rift." Hot on the heels of MotorStorm: Apocalypse's release yesterday, Evolution studios has unleashed a new 'Features' trailer, detailing the game's various attributes.
The trailer showcases the main characters from each of the single-player campaign's three difficulties (Mash, Tyler, and Big Dog), reveals some of the ways rides can be customized, and touts the game's great use of "real-time destruction." The trailer also highlights online multiplayer for up to sixteen racers, but just think of that as a tease until the PlayStation Network comes back online. Read more »

Though not entirely surprising after similar delays were announced in Japan and Europe, Sony confirmed today that MotorStorm Apocalypse has been delayed indefinitely in North America due to the earthquake in Japan. It was set to come out April 12.
It's unclear if the delay is due to supply issues, but some early reviews have already hit. Sony could be making the decision to push the game due to sensitivity reasons; after all, it is about an earthquake that makes the California Bay Area into a wasteland. We'll keep an eye out for a new release date.

The Mac version of Left 4 Dead is now available, fulfilling Valve's promise to launch the Mac version before Halloween. It supports Steam Play, which means that owners of the PC version will snag a shiny Mac copy if they are equipped with an Apple machine.
It also means that Mac players will be able to play on the same servers as the PC players. To celebrate the launch, gamers can pick-up Left 4 Dead for $9.99 (50% off) or bundled with Left 4 Dead 2 for the low, low price of $14.99--though not as low as the previous sale. Read more »
