Rockstar San Diego's open-world racer Midnight Club: Los Angeles (PS3, 360) will gain two downloadable content packs early next year--one free, one paid--that will expand the game world and add a variety of new vehicles and race.

Roughly 1/3 the size of the original map, the free South Central Upgrade Map adds a number of landmarks, such as Exposition Park, the USC campus, Shrine Auditorium, Crenshaw Plaza, and the L.A. Rockstar Games has announced the availability of a title update for its racing game sequel Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, the patch offers improved AI that dynamically adjusts to the user skill level -- many reviews noted the game was incredibly difficult.

The Xbox 360 patch also adds extra leaderboards for tournaments through the Rockstar Games Social Club, improved multiplayer match searching, and "upgraded streaming and performance".
