Though 1C Company only formally announced Men of War: Assault Squad a week ago, another new entry in the PC strategy series is also under development by the company, one that will move the franchise away from World War II and focus on the Vietnam War.
Men of War: Vietnam is "being made in conjunction with Assault Squad, but is being developed by the same studio who made [Men of War] Red Tide (not DigitalMindSoft)," reads the Strategy Informer report noticed by BluesNews. Read more »

The second stand-alone expansion to Digitalmindsoft and Best Way's strategy game Men of War is due to hit PC in Q3 2010--sometime between July 1 and September 30, 2010--as Men of War: Assault Squad, publisher 1C Company announced today.
Referred to as both a "sequel" and "expansion pack" by 1C Company in today's announcement, Assault Squad brings a new cooperative skirmish mode to the series along with the ability to play as Japan, "increased realism and accessibility" said to deliver "an intense new WW2 spectacle with almost limitless replayability." Sticking with the "midweek madness" initiative, digital distributor Steam has revealed that all Men of War (PC) games will be 66% off through Thursday, January 21.
In other words, the first entry in 1C Company, Digitalmindsoft and Best Way's historical strategy series can be had at $5.09, the expansion-turned-sequel Red Tide is $8.49, and Men of War: Gold Edition, which bundles the two, is currently $11.89. Read more »

A standalone expansion to Best Way and DMS' PC action-RTS Men of War is due to hit digital download and North American retail this fall, 1C and Aspyr said today.
Men of War: Red Tide, as the expansion is called, will see players take control of Soviet "Black Coat" marines and their various air, land and sea-based vehicles throughout "more than 20 missions" set during the Black Sea Campaigns of World War II. Read more »

A demo for Digitalmindsoft's World War II real-time tactical title Men of War was released today. The demo contains the first level of the game, providing a look at the title's various systems. Grab the demo from FileShack.
As in the previous title in the series, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, Men of War features a "direct control" system, allowing players to control units as in a third-person action title. Read more »

Publisher Aspyr has reached an agreement with European publisher 1C Company to bring five 1C-branded PC games--Cryostasis, Death Track: Resurrection, Men of War, NecroVisioN and 4x4 Hummer--to North America later this spring.
Developed by Action Forms, Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason is a survival-horror first-person shooter set in the Arctic Circle in which players explore a frozen ship to find out what damned it and its crew to an icy graveyard. Upon discovering a dead crew member, players can relive their final few moments in order to solve puzzles. Read more »
