Games for Windows Live Marketplace Adds New Titles, Puts Old Prince of Persias on Sale

The "Games on Demand" section of Microsoft's digital distribution platform Games for Windows Live "will soon be the home of day-and-date game releases from the industry's biggest names," the company declared today.

Alongside the day-and-date releases, which kicked off today with Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands PC, the company will be adding more games to the online catalog, including those that don't utilize Games for Windows Live functionality. Read more »

A Double Dose of Max Payne Hits the Xbox 360

The original Xbox versions of Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are available now for Xbox 360 as Xbox Live Marketplace downloads, publisher Rockstar has announced.

Max Payne 2 Mod Adds Five Impressive Levels

We aren't in the habit of singling out mods around here, but Mona: The Assassin is notable for several reasons.

First, it's a professional, five-level mod for Max Payne 2. How many of those have been released lately? And I think we can all agree that Max Payne 2 is still pretty awesome.

Second, it was founded by Mikael Kasurinen, a lead game designer at Remedy--the developers of the Max Payne series. 7th Serpent modder Clement "Corwin" Melendez and talented Shacker Diego "Aavenr" Jimenez aided in development. Read more »
