Ever the quick-witted villain, the nefarious General Neutronov declares "Goodbye, Matt Hazard. For NEVER!" as he kidnaps Matt Hazard's past pixelated self in an attempt to pre-empt the satirical series.
Of course, as the second Matt Hazard is due on Xbox 360 tomorrow and PlayStation 3 come Thursday in the form of downloadable side-scrolling shooter Blood Bath and Beyond ($15), it seems Neutronov's plan doesn't (didn't?) work out all that well. Read more »

Though D3Publisher has been touting the date for some time, Microsoft today made it doubly official, confirming that Vicious Cycle's satirical side-scrolling shooter Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond is due as an Xbox 360 download this Wednesday.
The PlayStation 3 version hits the following day, Thursday, January 7, with both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network editions priced at 1200 MS Points / $15.

It looks as if Matt Hazard's second outing will be just as satirical as his first, as these "Blood Bath and Beyond" screenshots include some rather recognizable facsimiles.
The side-scrolling shooter is slated to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a digital download during the first quarter of 2010, with Vicious Cycle once again developing.

Video game icons from all ages seek the wisdom of fictional star Matt Hazard in a fine new trailer for Blood Bath and Beyond, though there is a certain irony to it all considering the poor critical reception of Matt's actual debut in Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard.

While summer came and went without the promised "classic" Matt Hazard title, D3Publisher today provided the first screenshots and a new release estimate.
Now titled "Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond," Vicious Cycle's downloadable side-scrolling shooter is expected to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the winter. Read more »
