Gazillion Entertainment's revived Marvel MMO will be powered by Epic's popular game engine. According to the developer, Marvel Heroes will utilize the Unreal 3 game engine to power the upcoming title.
Originally planned as a Microsoft platform-exclusive MMO before being shelved, the game previously known as Marvel Universe was taken over by Gazillion following Cryptic's departure from the project.

The upcoming Marvel MMO from Gazillion Entertainment, formerly known as Marvel Universe, has a new name. The official title is now "Marvel Heroes." In the announcement, Gazillion notes that the moniker better reflects how "pivotal" heroes are to the world. Also, it allows the team to essentially steal the logo from PlayStation Move Heroes.
While little else was revealed about the MMO, the publisher did release an image of one of its more iconic heroes: Spider-Man.

The first official details about Marvel Universe were revealed at Gazillion-held event in San Francisco. (via PC Gamer)
Developed by Secret Identity, a team assembled specifically to make the MMO, Marvel Universe will be free-to-play. The game's primary antagonist (at least at launch) will be Dr. Doom, and players will be able to play as famous Marvel heroes, including "Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Thor, Spiderman, Nova, and Squirrel Girl."
