Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Back for a Limited Time

In January, owners of the superhero beat-em-up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 noticed the sudden disappearance of the game's downloadable content from both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

At the time, PlayStation.Blog Europe confirmed (in a forum reply to user Bahamut44-4) that the content had been removed at Activision's request, and that it "likely" would not return. Fast-forward to present day and things have changed, for a limited time. Read more »

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Priced, Dated

The first major batch of downloadable content for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Thursday, November 5, publisher Activision said today.

The $10 / 800 Microsoft Point download will deliver new upgrades and missions to Vicarious Visions' superhero action-RPG, along with five new characters. Of those new heroes, four have been revealed: Carnage, Cable, Psylocke and Black Panther. Read more »

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Trailer: Cable

Heavily-armed cyborg mutant from the future Cable is latest character announced for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2's upcoming downloadable content pack, joining a lineup of new characters which also includes Carnage and Psylocke.

Several new simulation missions will arrive in the DLC, with "arena-style" boss fights and a mission described as "an homage" to 'the old school X-Men/Avengers 2.5d arcade "brawlers'" revealed so far. Neither a price nor release date has been announced yet. Read more »

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Trailer: Psylocke

Spider-Man villain Carnage is joined by X-Men bad-girl Psylocke in the roster of upcoming DLC characters to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

No word on a release date for the new supers, but they are expected to be available before the end of the year.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Trailer: Carnageddon

Second-rate symbiote Carnage does his thing in this trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2's first DLC pack. His thing consists of eating faces and making bad dinner jokes, apparently.

There's no date--or any other details--on the DLC, but it should be arriving relatively soon, according to Activision.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Coming in September, Delivers Stan Lee's First Video Game Cameo

Action-RPG sequel Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will be the first game to include an onscreen cameo from legendary comic book creator Stan Lee, publisher Activision claimed today.

Lee lent his voice and likeness to an unspecified character "significant to the game's storyline," which takes place during Marvel's recent Civil War crossover event.

"I am thrilled to be making my first onscreen videogame cameo," said Lee, known for his many cameos in Marvel films. "It's such a kick to see characters that I've helped create come to life in the game and now I'm a part of the Marvel videogame universe!" Read more »
