Three-dimensional gaming is hitting the PlayStation 3! PlayStation.Blog reports that a handful of games and demos that support 3D capability will arrive via the PlayStation Store tomorrow.
3D gaming is undoubtedly on the rise this year. Guerrilla Games' upcoming shooter, Killzone 3, has already been announced as 3D capable. The Fight: Lights Out, a new brawler utilizing the new PlayStation Move controller, will also support 3D functionality. Nintendo's handheld 3Ds invades the market next week as well. Read more »

Sony has announced that it will launch its first 'Bravia 3D' stereoscopic 3D television set in June with four free 3D downloadable PlayStation 3 games, in Europe at least.
Consumers who purchase the Sony Bravia 3D HX800 launch model or later Bravia 3D TVs will score free copies Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust HD for download from the PlayStation Network, with full free stereoscopic 3D trimmings. Read more »

The next eight weeks will each see the release of free DLC packs for Evolution's racer MotorStorm Pacific Rift. The packs will each add new color schemes to three of the game's cars.
Evolution also notes that a new update has added "microbadges" to the game, which act like small racing trophies that appear above cars during an online race.

A sizeable update to Evolution Studios' PlayStation 3 racing sequel Motorstorm Pacific Rift is on the way, according to the PlayStation Blog.
Among other fixes and enhancements, the patch will remove restrictions on the copying of saved data, while also decreasing the chance of saved data corruption. Read more »

Evolution Studios' racing sequel MotorStorm: Pacific Rift has recorded over one million sales worldwide, according to Sony Worldwide Studios Europe chief Michael Denny.
Pacific Rift was released on October 28 in North America--too late in the month for its sales to make an impact on the October list of sales tracker NPD. November sales data has not yet been released.

MotorStorm Pacific Rift (PS3), Evolution Studios' freshly released off-road racing sequel, is set to get a whole lot of downloadable content in the form of weekly updates.
"Once we're all rested its back to the development bunker to finish off the DLC we have lined up for you guys in the coming months," said director Nigel Kershaw to CVG. "You'll be glad to know, a lot of it is free," he added. Read more »

It's been nearly one month since the MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo was made available, but only for paying subscribers of Sony's downloadable video magazine Qore. This week, that demo will get opened up to the general public when the PlayStation Store gets its weekly update on Thursday.
"The demo includes Rain God Spires, one of the 16 courses exclusive to MotorStorm Pacific Rift," reads a post on the PlayStation Blog announcing the demo's availability. "Race against the computer in single-player mode or grab a friend for some split screen multiplayer action. Log on to the Store from your PS3 system and download it this Thursday, Oct. 16th!" Evolution Studios' sequel to its offroad racer MotorStorm (PS3) will hit PlayStation 3 on October 28, publisher and studio owner Sony has revealed via the PlayStation.Blog.
Instead of the original's desert setting, MotorStorm Pacific Rift features an island environment that has a number of different terrains across its 16 tracks. Other additions include monster trucks, support for up to 16 online players, and 4-person offline split-screen.

Sony Computer Entertainment America just sent over a timeline for the next nine months of SCE-published games on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PSP.
The schedule confirms that many of the dates provided by SCE Europe apply to North America, such as LittleBigPlanet (PS3) in October and Killzone 2 (PS3) next February.
