Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Tips & Tricks

  • Shortcut in Mushroom City

    After the very first turn, stay to the right of the track while still going straight. You'll see a purple carpet that goes off the track. Follow that carpet and back out to the track. It will put you in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

  • Short cut for Yoshi's circuit

    When you start before you go in the tunnel there will be a pit where you can go through but this will only work with a mushroom.

  • Cool Jumps

    In mushroom city/bridge use star and bump into a car. this should make the car jump.

  • Mushrooms

    When racing, there will be cars with mushrooms in the back. Hit those car and a mushroom will appear on the field.

  • Dino Dino Jungle speed up

    In dino dino jungle, after you go on the bridges you will find yourself in a big place with water shooting up. Turn to your right and there will be a woodin jump. Go on that, and when your on it, use something that will speed you up.

  • Shoot out 135mph

    A lot of you probably know this. In daisy cruiser, when you get in an area with a big hole, go into that hole after you fall in the hole, you will se a big red thing. Go in that and it will shoot you out at 135mph.

  • Free bonuses

    If you win every single race on every difficulty except the allstar cup on mirror mode, and then save, turn off your console. Turn it back on again and it will say you have completed and unlocked the bonus' without even racing!

  • Bowser level help

    In the bowser level when Bowser is shooting fire out of his big head, when you come up to that hole with boiling lava take the jump and sometimes you can make it over. I would prefer that you use the mushroom girl and boy or use a speedy mushroom.

  • Shortcut for mushroom city

    If you are driving by the bridge when you are about to cross the finish line you can go up the side of the bridge and there will be tons of turbos! Just be careful 'cause it might take some practice!

  • Toad and Toadette

    Beat the special cup in the 100cc class.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Unlockables

  • All Cup Tour

    By winning the Special Cup in the 150cc class to unlock the All Cup Tour, which is a combination of all of the four default cups.

  • Alternate opening and ending screens

    By winning the All Cup Tour in mirror mode.

  • Every bonus

    By winning every cups with a "Gold" rank under every difficulty.

  • Unlocking new Karts in Grand Prix

    By winning the a Grand Prix in first place to unlock a new Kart. There is a bonus Kart in each cc class and Grand Prix that you can win (nine total).

  • Parade Car

    Beat All Cup Tour on Mirror Mode.

  • Toad and Toadette

    To get Toad and Toadette you need to get all gold trophys in 100cc.

  • Petey Piranha and King Boo

    Beat the star cup in mirror mode.

  • Waluigi's Kart

    By winning the Flower Cup in the 100cc class.

  • Toadsworth's Kart

    By winning the All Cup Tour in mirror mode.

  • Special Cup

    By winning the Star Cup in the 100cc class.

  • Mirror mode

    By winning the All Cup Tour in the 150cc class.

  • Luigi's Mansion battle arena

    By winning the Mushroom Cup in the 150cc class.

  • Tilt-A-Kart battle arena

    By winning the Flower Cup in mirror mode.

  • The Baby Park Ghost

    If you have played time trials before, you should know this; On time trial mode, pick your driver and move to Baby Park to race on that stage. When you race make sure you do a dash head start. If you finish the time trial race in under 1:14, you can retry the race and face the staff ghost of Baby Mario and Luigi on the Mario Buggy. REMEMBER: they take the turns really sharply and do a Blue Boost.

    By winning the Mushroom Cup in the 100cc class.

  • Birdo's Kart

    By winning the Flower Cup in the 150cc class.

  • Bowser Jr.'s Kart

    By winning the Special Cup in the 50cc class.

  • Daisy's Kart

    By winning the Flower Cup in the 50cc class.

  • Diddy Kong's Kart

    By winning the Star Cup in the 150cc class.

  • King Boo's Kart

    By winning the Special Cup in mirror mode.
