When wanting to either change the location of your pin or the weather, just save the game then load it again. But remember chances are both will be different.
-
Upgrade players
In character matches mode, accept invitations and beat characters to get them in upgraded stats version.

Performing the perfect power swing
Using auto swing watch the small arrow below the number marking at the bottom of your screen. Take the meter clear to Mario's Hands and hit A quickly and make sure that you hit B before you do any of that to make sure that the red golf ball is by your meter that says POWER and hit A again. The perfect shot will only occur when Mario smacks his hands.
-
Star characters
Play against that character in Character Match mode after being invited (getting an envelope) and win. A star usually adds something about 30 yards to your swing.

Control weather
Repeatedly reload a saved game to get weather conditions that you like.
