Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Tips & Tricks

  • Easy Kills

    The easiest way to kill an enemy (snow pirates or akrid), is to pick up a weapon from a crashed VS and use it.

  • Mission 2: Avoid dongos

    When you enter the big plain on Mission 2 shortly after you start the mission, you will confront several deadly dongo akrid with devastating rolling attacks. There is a way to avoidthem. You will see a flat topped building to your right. Gather some hand grenades ( they should be spread around the plain. Make sure to destroy the cars to uncover some), and grapple on top of the building. Then, unleash the grenades on the dongos below you. (Dongos at long-range you can shoot with your machine gun). You will likely get no damage at all. Just climb down from your perch to get more grenades and ammo. When you use the grenades all up, shoot with your machine gunto knock out the remaining akrid.

  • Stop pesky online mode snipers!

    Note: this trick is only for use with the machine gun. When you see a person with a rifle heading up or grappling their way to a high sniper spot, fire your machine gun at them at the same time they shoot their grapple hook. They will fall, causing them to retry their ascent. Even at long range this trick cause some very minor damage. Best for use in: Pirate Fortress, Lost Coast, Dark Town, Ice Drop, Crimson River.
