Left 4 Dead Tips & Tricks

    Cheat Codes (DEMO) Enable the console via the Options menu. Bring up the console and type "sv_cheats 1" to activate cheat mode. You may then type any of the following cheat codes.   • "death toll" safe zone

    When waiting for the boat in "death toll", run to opposite end of the beach. At the very end theres a big rock. Jump at the shortest end until you are on. When on the zombies can't reach you. Be careful of when tanks throw rocks.

  • Kill a Tank

    First: Light the tank on fire with a molotov or gas can. Second: If possible get to a place were the tank cant reach or a place were you can run without getting trapped. Third: Shoot its head until it dies.

  • kill a witch in one shot

    All you need to do is walk up to her and stand right above her and shoot her in the head: only works with a auto-shotgun

  • kill your partners in a elevator

    You need a pipe bomb or a molotov when you're in the elevator. When you get to the 16th floor throw it at anyone of your partners and they will go through the elevator floor.

  • Dead Party Member

    On No-Mercy, at the last level where you are about to be boarded onto a helicopter, as soon as you see the helicopter there will be stairs on your right. Go over there and you should see a red head. When your looking at the head, it will say "Hold X". Do it and this will give you a fellow teammate which is dead but is on your team. This will only work if you have two players in the game and its difficulty has to be Expert in order to do it correctly.
