You can always tell the holiday season is coming by hardware manufacturers bumping down their prices in preparation for our annual spending splurge. Nintendo dropped the Wii price this morning, and now Microsoft has entered the arena with some price cuts of its own. These come in the form of $50 cuts on its various holiday bundles.

And the holiday bundles keep on coming. In addition to Microsoft's two other "Holiday Bundles," the company has announced one more, this time focusing on Kinect. The Kinect sensor will be bundled with three games: Fruit Ninja, The Gunstringer, and Kinect Adventures. The bundle will cost the same as the standalone peripheral, $149, making it quite an attractive incentive.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Microsoft's official Kinect advocate, Kudo Tsunoda, shared some more insight about the controller-less peripheral as it gears up for a November release, as well as a glimpse into Kinect's future.
Ever since it was revealed that Kinect's initial software lineup will include seemingly casual-geared titles such as Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures, hardcore gamers have expressed their skepticism about what value the new peripheral will offer. Sure, there's still a lot of untapped potential, but that just has many core gamers already looking to the horizon for the second wave of Kinect games. Read more »

Microsoft has confirmed longstanding rumors that its upcoming motion-based peripheral Kinect will retail for $150 when it launches on November 4. Kinect will come bundled with Kinect Adventures, one of the mini-game collections featured during Mircosoft's E3 media briefing.
Alongside the pricing announcement, Microsoft revealed a $200 Xbox 360 "S Model," which includes 4GB of internal storage. According to Joystiq, the new model will go on sale on August 3 in North America. Microsoft is also bundling the new, less expensive model with Kinect for $300. The internal storage, along with the ability to use up to 32GB of USB storage on the console makes the Arcade model infinitely more attractive than it has in the past. Read more »
