'Collateral' and 'The Soloist' star Jamie Foxx will play the violent James Lynch alongside Bruce Willis in the video game adaptation of IO Interactive's 2007 shooter Kane & Lynch, according to the movie's screenwriter Kyle Ward on Twitter.
"Done deal... Jamie Foxx is in," Ward wrote before clarifying the actor will be in Kane & Lynch, not the Uncharted adaptation or Hitman movie sequel he is also writing. Read more »

Next Thursday, a free single-player demo for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will make it's way onto the PlayStation Network alongside the game's first paid downloadable content called the PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack.
According to the official PlayStation blog, the 'Heroes' DLC pack will include seven new multiplayer skins representing characters from other first-party PlayStation titles. Main character Sev and a rival Helghast make the crossover from Guerilla Games' Killzone 2; Zeke accompanies both good and evil versions of protagonist Cole from Sucker Punch Productions' inFAMOUS, and Nathan Hale and a Chimera take a vacation from Insomniac's Resistance 2. Die Hard, 12 Monkeys and Hudson Hawk megastar Bruce Willis is set to play Adam 'Kane' Marcus in the silver screen adaptation of IO Interactive's million-selling 2007 shooter Kane & Lynch, the movie's producer Adrian Askarieh has told GameDaily.
"Bruce Willis will star as Kane, and we're about to start casting Lynch," said Askarieh. "It's not going to have every sequence from the game, but it's essentially the story of a mercenary teaming up with a schizophrenic psychopath to save his wife and daughter." Read more »

Guerilla Games' has announced that the next Killzone 2 DLC pack, "Napalm & Cordite," will be available to download tomorrow on the PlayStation network.
The pack includes two maps, predictably dubbed Napalm and Cordite, themed around fire and ice, respectively. Two new multiplayer weapons will also be added: the Flamethrower and Bolt Gun. Read more »

A new trademark filed by Eidos last week has revealed the probably name of the sequel to buddy shooter Kane & Lynch.
The document, noticed by superannuation, lists the title of the game as "Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days." The company also filed a trademark related to Fragile Alliance, the original game's multiplayer component. Read more »

Guerilla Games today announced another upcoming DLC/patch combo for Killzone 2.
The DLC consists of two new fire and ice themed maps titled Napalm and Cordite, and will also pack in two appropriately themed weapons, the Flamethrower and Boltgun. A handful of screenshots from each map are included in the gallery below.

This week's PlayStation Store update brings us the Killzone 2 Flash & Thunder Pack ($5.99), a pack including two original Killzone multiplayer maps remade for the sequel.
Also included in the update is the LittleBigPlanet ICO and Shadow of the Colossus content, the second map pack for Call of Duty: World at War, and the Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island DLC. Read more »

The second downloadable map pack for Guerrilla's PlayStation 3-exclusive shooter Killzone 2 will arrive in the European PlayStation Store on June 11, publisher Sony said today. The North American date was not confirmed, but is expected to be the same.
Dubbed "The Flash and Thunder Pack" and described by Sony as "the second awesome instalment" of Killzone 2 DLC, the download contains remakes of two multiplayer maps from the first Killzone game: Beach Head and Southern Hills. Read more »

Eidos Life President Ian Livingstone has revealed another Hitman game is in the works, as well as details on other upcoming sequels, in an interview with Gaming Indians.
"We haven't even announced the game yet" says Livingstone, "So everything you hear about the next Hitman game is purely speculation at this point." He goes on to speculate that the game is being developed by series creators and veterans IO Interactive. Read more »

The DLC pack, titled "Steel & Titanium," adds two new multiplayer maps for $5.99. Also notable is the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 demo, exclusive to the PSN.

A map pack featuring two new multiplayer maps for Guerrilla Games' recently released shooter Killzone 2 (PS3) will arrive as downloadable content "towards the end of April," studio director Herman Hulst revealed in the latest episode of GameTrailers TV.
No pricing was mentioned for the pack, which is titled "Steel & Titanium." The first map, Vekta Cruiser, delivers a vertically-oriented arena set in an ISA flagship. The other, Wasteland Bullet, features two speeding trains, with players able to hop between. Read more »
