The latest trailer for the open-world shooter Just Cause 2 shows off more of the multi-faceted gadget called "The Grapple." The device does more than you might expect. In addition to zipping between buildings and hijacking vehicles, the sandbox gameplay allows for creative player-implementations. If you listen closely, you might be able to hear the sound of Bionic Commando developers crying.
Can you tether an enemy to a moving vehicle? Check. Fling an enemy into the air and juggle him with your machine gun? Check. Tether a car to a helicopter and use it as a giant wrecking ball? Absolutely. In fact, players can use the grapple to tie almost any two items together. Read more »

"Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evening, pizza at suppertime," the old commercial jingle used to declare. "When pizza's on a bagel,
you can eat pizza anytime."
And while this trailer for Avalanche Studios' Just Cause 2--coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 2010--certainly isn't as catchy, you'll notice that if you replace "pizza" with "grapple" and "on a bagel" with "in the game," the resulting ditty is oddly appropriate. Read more »

Fans of reality as we know it should avert their eyes, as Avalanche Studio's open-world shooter sequel Just Cause 2 ignores it completely to deliver a spectacular display of grappling hook and parachute-powered locomotion and destruction in this new trailer.
Published by Eidos, Just Cause 2 will hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010.

A new trailer for Avalanche Studios' over-the-top shooter Just Cause 2 shows how gorgeous the open-world island of Panal is, and why razing it will be such a hoot.
Just Cause 2 is slated to arrive on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010, published by Eidos. For more gameplay footage, check out the walkthrough from E3 earlier this year.

In a curious e-mailing warning of the "bedlam" that April Fools Day will bring tomorrow, publisher Eidos passed along a multitude of new screenshots from Just Cause 2.
Developed by Avalanche Studios, the explosion-filled open-world action game will bring its new grappling hook mechanic to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.

Eidos Interactive has formally announced Just Cause 2, the second entry in the Avalanche Studios-developed open-island action adventure series, and issued the first screenshots of the title.
Due out on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 later this year, the game is said to feature an improved stunt system, new vehicles, and 1000 square kilometers to explore. Though coverage for the console editions began appearing a few weeks ago, the PC version was previously unconfirmed. Read more »

Avalanche Studios has started talking about the sequel to its third-person open island title Just Cause (PC, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360), which will be published by Eidos and is slated to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
"You'll begin the game with nothing but your Cuban heels and a winning smile," explained lead designer Peter Johansson.
