It's a fantastic collection of top local competitive games J.S. Joust, Hokra, Super Pole Riders, BaraBariBall, and $30 pre-orders have now opened offering alpha builds of the lot.

Propose something nostalgic and people will whip their wallets out, but ask for help with something new and you may lose all faith in this so-called culture. Fortunately, the phenomenal Sportsfriends managed to narrowly hit its crowd-funding target in the final day, after an awful struggle. Rejoice! J.S. Joust and several other wonderful, wonderful local multiplayer games will receive a proper release.

Johann Sebastian Joust is a critically acclaimed multiplayer game for PlayStation Move that features no graphics. "Players try to jostle their opponents' controllers while protecting their own. How fast you can move your controller depends on the varying tempo of the music." It's experimental, odd, and absolutely thrilling. Unfortunately, it's been an experience only available at gaming conventions.

Copenhagen Game Collective is not known for creating conventional games. They're constantly thinking outside the box, looking for different, more exciting ways to utilize the gaming hardware at their disposal. Last year, CGC enthralled many IndieCade 2010 attendees with their oddball contribution, B.U.T.T.O.N. (Brutally Unfair Tactics Totally OK Now), and took home the Wild Card award, as a result. This year, CGC brought another bizarre and creative game to IndieCade 2011 called Johann Sebastian Joust.
