The amusing adventures and antics of Sam & Max are a little bit cheaper than they used to be, as developer Telltale Games has temporarily marked Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse down to $24.99 in the PlayStation 3's online PlayStation Store.

Regularly $34.99, The Devil's Playhouse marks the duo's first PlayStation 3 outing and is comprised of five episodes. Of those five, the first two--The Penal Zone and The Tomb of Sammun-Mak--are already out, with the remaining downloads due monthly. Read more »

Sam & Max 'Penal Zone' Demo Arrives

Those looking to try before they buy can now do so with Sam & Max: The Penal Zone, as developer Telltale has released a playable sample of the episodic adventure game.

Sam & Max 'The Penal Zone' Footage Shows Off PlayStation 3 Version

With the third season of Telltale's episodic adventure series Sam & Max already on iPad and hitting PC, MAC and PlayStation 3 this Thursday, April 15, the developer has passed along some footage from the PlayStation 3 edition of "Episode 1: The Penal Zone."

Referred to as "Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse," the season encompasses five monthly downloads collectively priced at $34.95 on PC, MAC and PlayStation 3. However, those that pre-order on PlayStation 3 by Thursday will get it at $29.99. Read more »

Released alongside the device itself this past weekend, the iPad rendition of Sam & Max: The Penal Zone is now sporting a "special introductory price" of $6.99 on iTunes.

Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse Announced

Telltale Games has revealed that the mysterious Sam & Max project it had teased last year is indeed a third season of the episodic adventure game series, titled 'The Devil's Playhouse.'

'The Penzal Zone, the first of the season's five monthly episodes, will arrive on April 15 to kick off a tale where "Max has been bestowed with a set of powerful psychic abilities from an unusual ancient source that he'll wield against the strongest and strangest foes the Freelance Police have ever faced."
