Gravity-shifting shooter Inversion has been delayed once again, to give developer Saber Interactive more time to sharpen it up. It was due to arrive very shortly indeed, on February 7, but is now expected to launch some time in early 2012.

Inversion is Saber Interactive's latest shooter, a gravity-bending affair scheduled to arrive on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February 2012. My previous look at Inversion only gave me time to form a first impression; however, I recently had another opportunity to play the game first hand, giving me a stronger sense of what Sabre is up to with its next title.

In a new trailer for Namco Bandai's upcoming shooter Inversion, we get a glimpse at a world where gravity takes a vacation. Coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in early 2012, Inversion is the new title from TimeShift developer Saber Interactive, where players fend off an invasion of gravity-controlling aliens.

At Namco Bandai's IGNITE event earlier this week, developer Saber Interactive (TimeShift), showed off a new shooter called InVersion that the team hopes will "reinvent the shooter genre." Though the game is still in the pre-alpha stage, the developers conducted a live demo of the game, after which I was able to get my hands dirty playing through an early level.
In the world of InVersion, aliens with the power to manipulate gravity have invaded the earth. The world is thrown into chaos. Skyscrapers are ripped from the ground, and gravitational anomalies abound. We were told that the protagonist comes home to find his wife has been killed in the invasion, and his daughter is missing. It's up to the player and his AI-controlled squad to defeat the alien menace, with the help of some gravity-tech commandeered from the extra-terrestrials. Read more »

TimeShift developer Saber Interactive is continuing to wreak havoc with the natural way of things, as the studio's latest packs "a revolutionary gravity manipulation engine."
Dubbed INVERSION, the cooperative PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 action game was announced today by publisher Namco Bandai and is slated to release in 2010. Read more »
