Shack PSA: Four Ubisoft Classics in $10 Bundle, Extended Far Cry 2 Sale

Wrapping up the week of one-day sales on Ubisoft-published titles, digital distribution platform Steam is now selling a $10 bundle of four classic Ubisoft PC games: Beyond Good and Evil, Far Cry, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946.

The sale, which runs all weekend, pretty much punches rival Good Old Games in the face. Just yesterday, GOG began selling Ubisoft PC games, debuting Beyond Good and Evil and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 at $10 each, with Far Cry and other games due soon. Read more »

Ubisoft Joins Steam with Far Cry and Splinter Cell, Plans Over 40 Steam Releases

French publisher Ubisoft has revealed that it is latest publisher to make its PC titles available via Valve's digital distribution platform Steam, with the upcoming PC release of Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition currently available for pre-purchase.

The stealth title Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Crytek's non-linear shooter Far Cry mark Ubisoft's initial offerings, with Far Cry priced at $9.95 and Splinter Cell going for $19.95. Both will sell at a 10% discount until April 8. Read more »

IL-2 Sturmovik Updated Demo

3D Gamers is hosting an updated demo of IL-2 Sturmovik. A game which many say is one of the best flight sims ever. You can also grab it from the Ubi Soft FTP. The 146.5mb demo offers three new flyable planes (for a total of six), more AI planes and ground units, a 200x300km area single player map and various other things.
