[Original Story] "A vast world of horrific sights and monsters" is a great way to describe both the Internet and the world of Hunted: The Demon's Forge, from developer Inxile Entertainment. Since they share a similar (Read: Demonic) environment, Shacknews has decided to bring these two elements together and give away two copies of the PC version of Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

Developer InXile Entertainment's Bethesda-published dungeon-crawler, Hunted: The Demon's Forge, has received a new 'relaunch' trailer today, which shows off some of game's action-based combat. On tap are beasties of all sizes and shapes, including trolls and ogres, a giant spider, a dragon, and a giant flying eyeball.
Including co-operative play that lets a warrior (Caddoc) and archer (Elara) team up against the bad guys, Hunted will also let players customize their chosen characters' skills and weapons, while remaining rooted in action and exploration. For more information, check out our early preview of the game. Read more »

Bethesda Softworks today treated us to release dates for two of the games from its publishing portfolio, namely Brink (May 17 in North America, May 20 in Europe) and Hunted: The Demon's Forge (June 1 in NA, June 3 for those foreign places).
Splash Damage's Brink is a class-based, objective-driven and multiplayer-centric shooter--first-person, not third as its 'screenshots' show--which also happens to be one of my most-anticipated games of 2011. inXile's Hunted, on the other hand, is a fantasy action game with co-op, starring a bloke with a sword and a lady with a bow. Brace yourself, because yet another upcoming game is set to go the extremely irritating route of "retailer-specific pre-order bonuses." Today, Bethesda revealed four sets of in-game bonuses that will be offered for its upcoming inXile Entertainment-developed title, Hunted: The Demon's Forge, at retailers across North America.
Gamers who pre-order the title at GameStop and Best Buy will get their hands on "The Darkset" and "Griffin" content packs, respectively, which feature special weapons and armor for in-game characters. Read more »

Publisher Bethesda has ended its silence about when inXile's Hunted: The Demon's Forge will arrive, today dating the cooperative action-RPG for release in Q1 2011, perhaps more commonly known as the time between January 1 and March 31, 2011.
The confirmation was tucked away in a media blast promoting the title's just-launched teaser site, with the game in the works for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Publisher Bethesda and developer inXile have unleashed a few more screenshots from Hunted: The Demon's Forge, the cooperative action-RPG unveiled in March 2010.
While we know that the dungeon crawler is coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, there's been no word as to when players will get to experience the "dark fantasy world" of the cleverly (and somewhat scantily) clad adventuring duo Caddoc and E'lara.

Introducing the project his studio has been hard at work on for the past two years, inXile Entertainment (The Bards Tale) founder Brian Fargo said that it reflected their desire for a return of the classic dungeon crawl design done with modern technology. He took a trip down memory lane citing many of the classics from his days at Interplay that worked the simple magic of just getting lost adventuring in a dungeon. With that, he took the wraps off of Hunted: The Demon's Forge.
After that introduction, it initially came as a shock to be greeted by an Unreal Engine-powered third-person action game. But as I took in the demo it started to click more with me. This isn't a return to those games; it's a return to their spirit. It seeks to bring out that one more room, one more encounter, next thing you know it's 2am-style obsession. Read more »
