Sony is kicking off a new year's sale tomorrow on the PlayStation Store, making for some deep discounts for all users and even deeper ones for PlayStation Plus members. The standard discount on the titles is 50% off, but Plus members can take advantage of 75% off, which makes some of the games just two to four bucks apiece.

It's not every day that a four year old game gets a patch, but that's exactly what's happening with Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (also known as Everybody's Golf 5). According to the latest issue of Famitsu (via Siliconera), the game is being updated to add support for PlayStation Move motion controls, and 3D televisions.
The patch will be live on July 17th in Japan. While an update hasn't been announced for other territories, it seems unlikely that Sony would spend the time to re-engineer the game and not release the update worldwide. Read more »

This week's PlayStation Store update will allow PlayStation 3 gamers to play Hot Shots Golf as God of War's Kratos.

Clap Hanz's latest foray into the adventures of anime-styled golfers will hit North America this March, publisher SCEA revealed on the official PlayStation blog.
Titled Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, the game is packed with new characters, new courses, a new optional control scheme and online play. Released in Japan last fall, it marks the series' PlayStation 3 debut, with the past entries developed for the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PSP.
