Indie Royale's St. Patrick's Day bundle launches
The Indie Royale Bundle has launched another holiday-themed pack of goodies, this time tied with the day everyone gets drunk to honor Ireland. As usual, the St. Patrick's Day bundle includes a heaping handful of indie gems, along with bonuses for paying above the minimum. That minimum ticks up as time goes by since it averages the price, so right now it stands at a little over $5.
Hard Reset boots up survival mode
Shiny sci-fi shooter Hard Reset was criticized by some for its short length, but developer Flying Wild Hog has now added a new mode built for replayability: Survival. It was patched in yesterday along with a handful of gameplay tweaks, and support for Nvidia 3D Vision and multiple monitors.
Hard Reset review
Flying Wild Hog are no strangers to shooters. The studio is largely comprised of former designers from People Can Fly, the developers behind Painkiller and the more-recent Bulletstorm. So it’s no surprise that Flying Wild Hog has arrived on the gaming scene, guns blazing, with Hard Reset.
Hard Reset takes place in a dystopian future, where machines have taken over and humanity is largely in hiding. While Hard Reset’s story is set in the future, the gameplay mechanics are inspired by the past.
Hard Reset demo available now
In advance of its release next week, a Hard Reset demo hit the Net to offer a taste of its cyberpunk styled robot-blasting action. The veteran PC developers at Flying Wild Hog have put together a good looking game that definitely taps that old-school PC shooter vibe. But don't take my word for it, give the demo a try. It offers around 20 to 30 minutes worth of action, giving you time to play around with the game's weapon customization system, and search around for hidden areas. You can grab the standalone demo from our link above or from Steam.
Hard Reset coming Sept. 13; specs revealed
New developer Flying Wild Hog, which is comprised of folks that worked on titles like Bulletstorm and The Witcher 2, has revealed its first game Hard Reset is coming to Steam on September 13.
The cyberpunk shooter takes place in a world being ravaged by robotic enemies and combines the look of iconic films like Blade Runner with gameplay reminiscent of games like Painkiller (another series members of the developer have worked on).
Hard Reset announced for PC; coming in Sept.
Poland-based start-up Flying Wild Hog has announced its first title, a "cyberpunk" FPS entitled Hard Reset for the PC.
Our interest is immediately piqued considering the game comes from a team comprised of development vets from titles like Bulletstorm, The Witcher 2, and Painkiller. The game is set to launch in September 2011.
