• How to receive an alternate ending sequence

  In the legendary difficulty setting, finish the last level of the game in campaign mode . In this alternate ending the human and alien fighting hand to hand. The alien and the human will hug (how sweet) because they know that the explosion will kill them both.

• Getting easy kills

  Remember if you have the option of running someone over and shooting him, it's often better you run an opponent over since shooting him will take a couple of hits.

• Getting easy Banshee kill

  Just make sure you can see the belly of the banshee above you. Shoot the belly (with a shotgun preferably) and the banshee will be severely hurt or explode (easy difficulty).

• Getting fast kills in Level 2

  In level 2 you are going to hear the warning Take cover, Covenant ship is in boundaries. When the ship docks, wait for the enemies to start getting off the ship. If you are at the right distance they will not notice you (and even walk by). Now throw grenades and go on a massive animated killing spree, shooting at will. (Don't you just love these parts). Anyways you can kill many of your enemies much quicker if you use this tactic.

• Getting an instant kill in multiplayer mode

  When facing a partner in multiplayer mode and you can't find ammunition, sneak up behind him and hit him in the back for an instant kill. (He/she will be pissed, but it will be a good laugh).

• Getting an instant life (full) in multiplayer mode

  This works best in cooperative mode. Have your partner hit you in the back (instant kill hint from above). You will receive an instant life when you return to life.

• Getting extra ammunition in multiplayer mode

  Using the instant kill hint from above and using cooperative mode collect ammunition from your partner as you instant kill him/her. You can repeat this trick until your ammunition is full.

• How to block teleports in multiplayer mode

  IF you place two vehicles over the teleports, your enemies (yourself, as well) will not be able to transport and evade sniper shots.

• How to skip FMV sequence

  On any level before a FMV sequence, throw a grenade. In most cases the game will skip the upcoming FMV sequence.

• Something only a hardcore gamer will appreciate

  At the end of level 5 (Assault on the Control Room), take a Banshee in the open area and go to the Control Center. In front of the door, there will be three ledges that will bracket that central pillar; you want the middle one. You can land your Banshee parallel to the walkway, facing the left (with respect to the door), and hop out the back. If you stand still you will hear sad, disconcerting music. Its called The Siege of Madrigal, and it can find it in Myth (previous Bungie title). It's written by Marty O'Donnell from Total Audio.

• Secret Area

  On 343 guilty spark just before geting out of the pelacan throw a grenade it will take u to some place where the trees look like paper.

• Easter egg lonely musick

  on level ausalt on the control room, when you first ste on the land brige next to the pyramid, run strait for th nearest banshee and kill every one in sight. next take the banshee to the piller and get out on the first crook or what ever its caled that keeps the illar to the wall. try gettin out on the thin \"wing\" on the right of the crook and put your back against the wall. now you should here a soothing piano solo. bravo!!!

• Ghosts

  On the left side of the ghost their is this round device attached to it. If you shot it most of the time it will explode in one shot( depending on what weapon your using). If some one is in the ghost it kills them automatically.

• Easy kills in co-op mode for hunters

  Get any gun and shoot the hunter in the head the hunter will turn on u get your partner to run behind it and shoot the orange flesh on its back. This should kill it in on shot.

• Getting extra shotgun ammunition

  The shotgun must have 12 shots and 0 clips. Just shoot it a couple of times and you will be able to reload the shotgun manually (10-20 times).

• Getting extra ammunition

  You can shoot one of your own marines and get their ammunition. If you get a straggler and only take one of them out, the other marines will not turn against you.

• How to reload quickly

  To reload most weapons faster, press X and shortly after that press B to melee. REMEMBER: For the shot gun this will cause you to stop reloading all together.

• Alternate begining movie

  The higher the difficulty you have the game, the more strict the sargent talks to his men.

• Quick Double Hit

  To hit someone twice in a fast way, go up to them hit the melee button and right after throw a grenade then hit the melee button again if you do this fast you will hit them twice

• Easy Kills - Hunters

  Hunters, we hate them, it takes forever for one of them to die and they have a really big gun. but I did find out something very interesting about those losers. On the backs of all the Hunters theres orange flesh that you can see, shoot that with one shot, even from a pistol and they drop........ you'll thank me

• Good Cover

  On the level,The Maw, when you are about to leave the maintenance access ways (after the grunt) turn left. You will see dead corpes of covenent. Go beside the burning boxes, you can kill sentinals, covenent, and flood. They won\'t be able to shoot back and the glass won\'t break.

• Avoid falling death

  When you fall into a pit, keep on pressing Y over and over again to switch weapons while falling. When performed correctly, you will fall, but not die... or try.. When falling, click the Left Analog-stick to squat/crouch right before you hit the ground. If done correctly, you will take less damage.

• Unlock Longer final movie and levels

  Start with legendary to beat the game and you will unlock all of the levels and the final movie.

• EASY JELLYFISH/FLUD KILL

  On difficulty EASY don't even bother to shot them, they will crash into you and die and your heath will restore automatically, it will save tons of ammo!

• Destroy Alien Tanks

  You either need a banshee or a scorpion tank. If you have a scorp tank just keep shooting until its dead (it usually dies in 1 shot). In a banshee fly over it and use the grenade button 2 shoot missiles at it when It shoots fly away then come back and shoot it again (on a tank you get hurt more and in a banshee you might get hurt less it depends how u drive it) when u shoot a missile you need 2 charge so use ur other weapon.

• Skull Level Hints

  in halo when you play the skull level, if you have the skull be crouched and look down and block your radar and if you are looking for who has the skull and you look for them, look in your opponents radar

• Make Your Opponent Miss

  In multiplayer create a new account and instead of a name use a space. When your opponent moves his cursor over you no name will show up making them miss you. ENJOY!

• Secret Hiding Place

  In muliplayer at blood gulch. Not far from red base there is an oddly shaped rock that sort of juts out. Back a warthog into the rock and get in the gunner seat. Then point your back to the rock. Then get out of the gunner seat. If done correctly getting out of the gunner seat should push you into the rock. No one can see you and you can shoot out of the rock. The only way you can die is from the explosions of grenades and rockets. Choose your weapons wisely when doing this trick because once your in there, there\'s no getting out until you die.

• Easy Sniping 1

  On the level "assault on the control room" at the end, get in a Banshee and fly up the top of the big cavern, and you will notice a small landing pad where you can land the Banshee. Its great for sniper rifles to snipe out enemies, and also you can sometimes get the Wraith (big hovercraft) with a fuel rod from the banshee.
