The third pack of games for Microsoft's classic arcade emulation service, Game Room, has been delayed "until further notice" according to a Twitter update (via Kotaku) by Microsoft Europe Xbox Live editor Daniel Maher. It was scheduled to be released today. Read more »

While Microsoft's been relatively quiet on Game Room since the virtual arcade launched on PC and Xbox 360 in March, that's about to change.
Beginning next week, the online retro game marketplace will receive more titles every Wednesday, with the following due April 28:

In a post on the Xbox Live forums, spotted by Kotaku, a Microsoft community manager revealed that no new titles will be coming to the virtual arcade service until late April.
That's the bad news. The good news? Once these new games release in late April, gamers will get new releases every week thereafter. Read more »

Update: Game Room PC is now functioning correctly and playable on our end.
The server issues that afflicted this morning's launch of Game Room have been resolved on Xbox 360 but not PC, meaning some but not all can access the retro game marketplace. Read more »

Microsoft's avatar-based, virtual arcade, Game Room, will be launched on March 24th for the Xbox 360 and PC. In it, gamers can purchase reproduced arcade and retro console games to play and share).

An 'Xbox LIVE Arcade Block Party' event in March will see the launch of the 'Game Room' virtual arcade as well as releases of several top XBLA titles, Microsoft has announced.
N+ co-developer Slick Entertainment's combat racer Scrap Metal (1200 Microsoft Points / $15), Toy Soldiers (1200 MSP / $15) and Perfect Dark (800 MSP / $10) are due in March--Toy Soldiers will hit March 3, with everything else following later in the month. Read more »
