Hey, remember Final Fantasy Versus XIII? The long-in-development action title has been eagerly awaited by fans since its unveiling in 2006. Although little progress appears to have been made on the game, that isn't stopping Square Enix from releasing DLC from the game.
Wait, what? "Somnus," the theme song heard in all the trailers so far, will be available for purchase in Theatrhythm. It's pretty much the closest thing to a playable version of Versus XIII fans will get for a long time.

Sequels are a rare occurrence in the Final Fantasy series. Square Enix has only let it happen a few times in the series' history, so the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII-2 came as a surprise. Now as word of XIII-2's ending hits, the renewed possibility of a XIII-3 is circulating.
Intentionally vague spoilers follow.

Final Fantasy XIII may be seeing an official sequel, if a new domain is any indication. Siliconera reports that the domain name "Finalfantasy13-2game.com" has been registered, fueling rumors that we'll see the continued story of Lightning and her friends.
The domain registration itself would be unremarkable if not for the associated name: Corporation Service Company. It's been used for the registration of other domains for Square, like the original Final Fantasy XIII which is registered under the similar domain, "Finalfantasy13game.com." Read more »

Long awaited by fans of the sci-fi space drama, Auran's Battlestar Galactica title arrives on PC and Xbox Live Arcade next week. The game packs ten single-player missions, said to be inspired by the show, and supports online play with up to 8 players on Xbox 360 and 16 on PC.
Priced at $19.99, the PC version will be downloadable from what publisher Sierra refers to as the "top online gaming portals" beginning Tuesday, October 23. The Xbox 360 edition will appear in the online Xbox Live Marketplace the following day, Wednesday, October 24, at 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
Despite the title's 3D appearance, its space combat occurs on a 2D plane, similar to Gaia Industries' Wing Commander Arena (X360). Though Wing Commander Arena was not particularly well-received and the two games share some similar mechanics, many Battlestar faithful still cling to the hope of defeating the Cylons an enjoyable experience.
Then again, Auron's effort isn't the only game out there. There is always that fan-created Battlestar Galactica FreeSpace 2 mod, which is conveniently hosted on FileShack. At the very least, with two interactive Battlestar titles out there, that increases the chances of a quality BSG game. So say we all.
