Today's Daily Filter is light on content but includes new screens and art for two titles. JoWood released screens for Spellforce 2: Faith In Desinty, a new expansion set to hit PC on August 27. We've also added new screenshots and art to our Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light database. Read more »

Already available in Japan, Square Enix's new "traditional" but "up-to-date" Nintendo DS role-playing game Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is coming to North America on October 5, and with E3 2010 just around the corner, we've got a new trailer for it.

A few surprises were tucked away within Square Enix's "E3 2010 Lineup," with the publisher officially announcing that The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded will be on display--meaning the pair will be released in North America on dates to-be-determined.
A continuation of the long-dormant action-RPG series Parasite Eve, The 3rd Birthday is coming to PSP, promising "hideous creatures" that "descend on Manhattan" and the return of series star Aya Brea. Read more »

Final Fantasy developer Square Enix has announced a return to the RPG series' roots in the brand new Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, due out for DS on October 5.
"Designed with the concept of a traditional RPG brought up-to-date with the best of today's technology," Square Enix explains, "the game goes back to the basics and origins of the Final Fantasy series, with a classic story of four young heroes embarking on an unforgettable adventure; a tale of dragons, kings, princesses and witches."
