FIFA Soccer 09 Tips & Tricks

  • Corner taking

    Line player up with post and press X power bar till it just begins to enter the orange section. This should take the ball over the goalie to your player to score!

  • 50m Ttransfer Budget

    When you are a club don't buy anyone until the last day of transfer budget. Then, put a bid of exactly 1.1m for Lionel Messi. It will get rejected, then you have 50m and 5 hours to bid for other players. It will go slow as it goes hour by hour.

  • Score from half line

    when you start at a kick off run immediately towards ur opponents half. when you reach the edge of the circle hold square down fully. you have to time it so that when you kick the ball you are at the edge of the circle.

  • Good Young Player

    Walter(ST) plays in the brazilian league and is really cheap he is a good buy and scores lots of goals. He gets up to 87 on his own but ive trained him to 93.

  • Manager Mode Make Money!

    Say If You become Chelsea, if you buy Christiano Ronaldo for 34,00,000 you can sell him to A big club for even more! For Example: Chelsea buys Christiano Ronaldo for 34,00,000 Liverpool buys Christiano Ronaldo for 39,00,000. That gives you 5,00,000 extra cash!

  • Big Money

    Make a 99 overall player and then put him in the team that you like before you start your manger mode. Then, list him for sale and since his stats are so high you'll get big money.

  • Easy Money

    Try to go into transfer and search for players without contract. Buy them at the highest price and don't let them play any mathches. Then sell them again and you will earn a lot of money (if you are in a smaller club this will be even better). Set the players' wages down as far as you can.

  • Easy Goals

    When you're playing in a match run down the wing and into the box from the side. When the goalie comes to tackle you pass the ball across the goal and then if there is a player on your team in the box he will score in an open goal. Use this in manager mode to get a lot of wins.

  • Easy Free Kick

    Try getting yourself a free kick. Remember, the closer you are to the goal, the harder the task for you you score a goal. Just aim your ball a the side of the goal (opposite of the goal keeper). Then, try kicking the ball with small amount of power (large amount of power will only make the ball fly higher).

  • Dummy Pass

    Press the X button twice while the ball is in hand of the goal keeper to dummy a pass.

  • Plays

    To do tricks, also known as plays, press R and whichever direction in the analog stick.

  • Easy Penalty

    When you are in the box and you have got the ball slowly run toward the goalie and when you are next to the goalie quickly run back. Sometimes the goalie can get a red card.

  • Win every match in manager mode.

    When you are in the manager mode click next match and then click simulate match then go to visual sim. When the match is on and you're losing press X and you will be in the match. Then score a goal and just protect your lead.

  • Easy Goal

    If in need of goal. (doesnt always work) if your on or near the halfway line with some space look at your radar, sometimes keeper is out of his box. If he is hold 'L' and use maximum power if using a player between 80-95 and you have some luck it could go in the back of the net.

  • transfers

    when playing manager mode if you choose a club from the lower leagues you will have a little budget.but you can sometimes buy good players.go to transfer market for leagues choose the option any and for status choose free agent you might find some good players if you are lucky.you just need to pay them a salary for every game.you need not pay a transfer fee.
