The latest Wii entry in Nintendo's beloved series The Legend of Zelda is subtitled "Skyward Sword" and will utilize Wii MotionPlus and is due to release in 2011, the company revealed today at the start of its E3 2010 Press Briefing.
The Wii Remote (and its Wii MotionPlus add-on) are used to control the sword in-game, while players use the Nunchuk to control their shield. Read more »

As the weekend slowly approaches, prepare yourself for adventure with the brilliant music video for Losers - "Flush". Victorian stylings, cephalopods and monarchs as colossal bio-mechanical tanks. Truly the best of British. I'm told there's also some sort of soundtrack attached but I wouldn't know about that. Gawd save the Queen!
Personally I'm not thinking about the weekend at all, only the week of mega monster media mayhem that will follow--E3. I'll be running on USA time and no doubt barely sleeping but I'm feeling confident about it all. This should be a good E3 for Shacknews.

Trion Worlds is revealings its line-up of MMO games today, including Rift: Planes of Telara, End of Nations, and a collaborative project with television network SyFy.
Rift: Planes of Telara is a fantasy MMORPG set for a 2011 release on the PC with a beta test this year. Details are light, but the official site has some preliminary info on some of the races and classes in Rift. This is likely the project being helmed by Might & Magic creator Jon Van Caneghem, reported back in June 2008. Read more »
